Who Can Still Take Pencil and Paper SAT Exam?

Even though the SAT is entirely transformed into a digital version, there are some exceptions that allow students to take the paper-based SAT. SAT Exam Eligibility Criteria for General Students 2025

The College Board sets no specific eligibility requirements for the SAT exam. However, the following pointers need to be kept in mind while taking the test:

1. Age: There is no specific age to take the SAT exam. It is mostly taken by students between the ages of 16 and 19. Students aged 13 or above can directly register for the exam, while students below the age of 13 must have parental or guardian consent before registering for the exam.

SAT Exam Registration Process 2025

1. Visit the SAT official .

2. Click on the button “Register Now”.

3. Sign in to your account or create one if you are a new user by filling in your personal details.

4.  After creating an account, you can choose your preferred SAT date and SAT exam centre.

5. The next step is to upload your passport-size photograph.

6. Lastly, check all the details and submit the SAT exam application form along with the required fee.

SAT Exam Pattern and Syllabus 2025

The SAT exam consists of 2 sections: reading & writing, and math. Each section is scored equally out of 800. Between the two sections, you will get a break of 10 minutes. Here is the SAT exam format for 2025:
