Foundation Studies Program Accelerated

Our Foundation Studies Program provides you with a pathway to follow your dreams of studying business, IT, engineering, medicine, nursing and much more at university.
 

Program Benefits

  • For students studying at the College, once you achieve your required progression score, you are guaranteed entry to your packaged degree, and, for most bachelor’s degrees, you won’t need to provide any further English language evidence.
  • We will ensure that you understand all the additional entry requirements for Medicine, Dentistry, Midwifery, Nursing, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy.
  • The program is streamed, allowing you to choose subjects to suit your bachelor degree choice.
  • You will be issued with a packaged Confirmation of Enrolment for the entire duration of study at the College and the University.
  • In addition to weekly class attendance, students are also expected to complete 20-25 hours per week of independent learning.

Major: Procurement and Supply Chain Management

Build foundational business knowledge in key disciplines while developing a solid understanding of supply chain management and procurement. You’ll start with core business topics in marketing, management, accounting, economics and entrepreneurship. This will give you a breadth of business knowledge, applicable to a range of careers. Your major in Procurement and Supply Chain Management will explore the complexities of global supply systems that deliver products or services to consumers. Learn about digital supply chain tools, navigating issues relating to procurement, key operations in supply chains and resilient design. Benefit from hands-on learning through a career development course, industry project and international exchange opportunity. Graduate as an innovator with valuable real-world experience. You’ll be able to recognise issues in supply chain markets and adopt the latest technologies to streamline processes. You’ll be equipped to work in areas such as warehousing, inventory management, purchasing, transport and distribution.

 

What you'll learn
Over the course of three years of full-time study, you’ll take a mixture of core business courses and specialised courses in supply chain management. Your business courses will cover topics on company law, accounting, economics, management marketing, negotiation and cultural competence.

Your major in Procurement and Supply Chain Management will investigate analytical tools to create resilient supply chains, building value and better market positioning. You’ll study operations management and explore opportunities and risks in a global business environment.

There will also be opportunities to select elective courses from a wide range of business disciplines, go on a student exchange, complete an industry-based project and learn how to build a successful career via a professional development course.

Graduate with a hybrid skillset, armed with knowledge on key business principles, along with in-depth supply chain management and procurement expertise. Your diverse skillset will open you up to a wide range of career outcomes.

    Scholarships

    The University of Adelaide College International Scholarship rewards the international graduates of the University of Adelaide College.

     

    This scholarship is:

    • Available for graduates of the University of Adelaide College commencing at the University of Adelaide.
    • Open to citizens of any country (except Australia and New Zealand); and
    • Provides a waiver of 10% of the annual tuition fee for each year of the program for the full duration of the degree.

     

    Value
    The scholarship offers a 10% tuition fee reduction for the minimum standard full-time duration of the scholar's chosen undergraduate or postgraduate degree.

     

    Eligibility
    To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

    • Be a graduate of the University of Adelaide College;
    • Have a University of Adelaide offer of admission (full offer or conditional offer) as a full-fee-paying international student;
    • Enrol in a full time study load for each study period of the degree;
    • Complete the acceptance process as outlined in your offer of admission.

    Note: Scholarship applicants who are eligible for more than one scholarship offered by the University of Adelaide will only be entitled to receive one scholarship (the highest value scholarship award for which they are eligible).

     

    Exclusions
    The following applicants are not eligible to receive these scholarships:

    • Current University of Adelaide students who are transferring from one degree to another prior to successful completion of their program of study (internal transfers)
    • Students who are recipients of a scholarship covering tuition fees awarded by a recognised scholarship awarding body such as a government ministry or department
    • Applicants for Masters by Research or Phd programs;
