Pre-Master Program
 

The University of Adelaide College was the first education provider in Australia to offer a postgraduate pathway course to a Group of Eight university. We developed these specialised Pre-Master’s Programs so you can follow your path to a range of master’s degrees.
 

Program benefits
 

  • Upon successful completion of your Pre-Master’s Program, you are guaranteed entry into your packaged postgraduate degree at Adelaide University.
  • You’ll have the flexibility of studying a Pre-Master’s Program in one to three study periods. Students enrolled in the trimester-based master’s destinations will study three University courses, while students enrolled in the semester-based master’s destinations will study four University courses.
  • Learn the academic knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to succeed in your postgraduate studies.

 

Leading to: Master of Accounting
 

The Master of Accounting is a two-year degree designed to give you comprehensive accounting expertise and open doors to leadership. You might be a mid-career professional seeking to upskill and advance your knowledge. Or maybe you’re looking for a career change that will challenge you. With your degree from Adelaide University, you’ll be prepared for a range of roles in accounting and business.

Explore essential domains such as financial and management accounting, auditing, and taxation. What you'll learn
 

Your studies will take you deep into key domains including financial and management accounting, auditing and taxation. You’ll build a strong foundation with core subjects like economics, business mathematics, business law and finance, while having the flexibility to tailor your studies to your interests with elective courses.

In your first year, you’ll complete core courses on quantitative methods, economic principles, accounting concepts and methods, and principles of finance. You’ll then tackle more complex topics on accounting systems and processes, commercial and business law, intermediate financial reporting and management accounting. You’ll also have the option to take elective courses in topics of interest.

Second year covers topics on taxation law, auditing and assurance services, advanced financial accounting and financial statement analysis. You'll also analyse key accounting, finance and industry information to produce a professional research project.

    Scholarships

    The University of Adelaide College International Scholarship rewards the international graduates of the University of Adelaide College.

     

    This scholarship is:

    • Available for graduates of the University of Adelaide College commencing at the University of Adelaide.
    • Open to citizens of any country (except Australia and New Zealand); and
    • Provides a waiver of 10% of the annual tuition fee for each year of the program for the full duration of the degree.

     

    Value
    The scholarship offers a 10% tuition fee reduction for the minimum standard full-time duration of the scholar's chosen undergraduate or postgraduate degree.

     

    Eligibility
    To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

    • Be a graduate of the University of Adelaide College;
    • Have a University of Adelaide offer of admission (full offer or conditional offer) as a full-fee-paying international student;
    • Enrol in a full time study load for each study period of the degree;
    • Complete the acceptance process as outlined in your offer of admission.

    Note: Scholarship applicants who are eligible for more than one scholarship offered by the University of Adelaide will only be entitled to receive one scholarship (the highest value scholarship award for which they are eligible).

     

    Exclusions
    The following applicants are not eligible to receive these scholarships:

    • Current University of Adelaide students who are transferring from one degree to another prior to successful completion of their program of study (internal transfers)
    • Students who are recipients of a scholarship covering tuition fees awarded by a recognised scholarship awarding body such as a government ministry or department
    • Applicants for Masters by Research or Phd programs;
