An ECC Diploma is your direct pathway to a bachelor’s degree
A Diploma from ECC is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree at Edith Cowan University. Upon successful completion of your Diploma, you will be able to progress directly into the second year of your chosen Bachelor’s degree at ECU. Choose to start your Diploma studies here in Perth or online from overseas.

Diploma of Hotel Management
Diploma of Hotel Management (Year 1) provides you with an overall perspective of business processes and fundamental skills relating to the hospitality and tourism industries. The units you will study are designed to enhance your learning experience, and provide you with the underpinning knowledge necessary to prepare you for further studies at university level.

Diploma of Hotel Management (Year 2) graduates will be suitably equipped to work in commercial enterprises under supervision, in hospitality and tourism-related positions that require the skills they have gained in their Diploma. Students who complete the ECC Diploma of Hotel Management (Year 2) will receive up to 8 units (120 credit points) advanced standing, the equivalent of the first year, in the respective bachelor’s degree at ECU. A minimum of 50% pass in all units is required for progression to ECU.

Tailor your course to your interests with professionally accredited and well-recognised majors that are developed in consultation with the industry. You can create your own mix of majors, minors, and electives. You’ll have the flexibility to study through various delivery modes in a mix of on-campus, online, and on-the-job activities. There are also many opportunities to participate in extra-curricular activities such as ENACTUS and study tours.

There are job opportunities for venue managers, marketing managers, finance managers, sport development managers, player managers, health and fitness franchisees, sport business owners and more. You’ll graduate with not only theoretical knowledge but also have the chance to undertake a range of professional industry practice opportunities in the relevant industries. You can further specialise your studies with a stronger industry focus in various fields such as marketing, human resource management, public relations, or tourism and hospitality management.
