Diploma of Engineering
The Diploma of Engineering will teach you the key skills and central concepts of engineering, before you progress to the bachelor degree to specialise in your choice of engineering major.You will learn from internationally-experienced lecturers with strong industry experience. This ensures you receive industry-relevant foundational knowledge, practical experience and problem-solving skills that employers are seeking, both now and in the future.


Leading to: Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)
This is your chance to have an impact on the way the world works. You could have the opportunity to make your mark on major global systems and infrastructure or be at the forefront of localised urban projects. When you choose this degree, you'll be engineering from day one.

In your first year, you'll develop a strong foundation in basic science and engineering principles. You'll study a range of engineering areas, letting you decide which area interests you the most. We're strong believers in `learning by doing', so this degree has a strong practical focus. You'll learn from teachers who are passionate about engineering and the difference it makes in the world, so you'll get to experience their energy in your studies.


Major: Civil Engineering
Many of the buildings and physical infrastructures in our modern society are made possible by civil engineers. Civil engineers provide a major contribution to society by supporting the design and development of essential services, and by managing and improving the built environment. By studying civil engineering, you will develop your knowledge in the planning, design, construction and management of buildings and infrastructure such as: roads, bridges, rail networks, irrigation, drainage and flood mitigation systems, airports, water and wastewater treatment plants, port and harbours, coastal defence and management systems, commercial buildings and residential houses.     Accept your offer by 31st May 2025 to qualify for a $2,500 Scholarship Gold Coast Grants - $1000 Progression Scholarship - 25% off tuition
    • Minimum GPA of 4.0 out of 7.0 is required on conclusion of the students’ first study period.
    • Scholarship is paid prior to commencement of second study period, subject to GPA being met.
    • Excluded: Masters Qualifying Program, Diploma of Health Care, Government Sponsored students.
    • Apply for a $1,000 scholarship if you are studying on the Gold Coast.
    • The first 250 international students who meet the criteria and complete verification will be eligible.
    • Achieve a GPA of 5.5 out of 7.0 to receive 25% off tuition fees at Griffith University.
    • Valid for entire degree, subject to student maintaining the required GPA and other requirements.

    International Student Scholarship
    Accept your offer by the cut-off date to automatically qualify for an International Student Scholarship, designed to support you as you embark on your study adventure at Griffith College.


    Scholarship Terms and Conditions
    Scholarships are only available to new international students commencing in Trimester 1 (March 2025); and who have not studied at Griffith College in any previous study period.

    To qualify for this scholarship", students must:

    • Accept their offer by the cut-off date: Monday 9th December 2024
    • Pay all relevant fees
    • Commence study in their accepted intake (no deferrals)
    • Remain enrolled past census date
    • Achieve a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 4.0 out of 7 (if studying 4 units) or 4.5 out of 7 of studying 3 units) in the first trimester of study at Griffith College

    Scholarships can only be redeemed for their intended purpose and are not transferable or exchangeable in any way. Quotas apply to all scholarships, delays in accepting your offer may affect eligibility.


    International Student Academic Excellence Scholarship

    • Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand.
    • Have a minimum GPA in previous studies of 5.5 or above on a 7 point scale or equivalent in the most recent recognised qualification.
    • Satisfy all academic and English language entry requirements for your chosen undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program.
    • Be a full-time student starting in 2024, 2025 or 2026.
    • Excludes the following programs: Bachelor of Medical Science, Bachelor of Dental Health Science, Doctor of Medicine, Master of Dentistry, Master of Pharmacy, Master of Speech Pathology and Graduate Diploma of Flight Management.
