Professional Accounting

This program gives you a clear pathway to becoming a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). Once you’ve successfully completed this program, you can apply to CPA’s Professional Education Program (PEP) — the final step before you write your Common Final Exam (CFE). Even if you don’t have an accounting background, you’ll soon be on your way to becoming a CPA.

  • Integrate ethical and socially responsible decision-making processes into all aspects of the accounting profession.
  • Apply recognized accounting principles to the systematic recording of transactions relating to assets, liabilities, equity, revenue, and expenses for sole proprietorships, partnerships and corporations.
  • Prepare accurate and relevant transactions, business reports including financial statements, and operating budgets to meet international accounting standards for partnerships and corporations.
  • Analyze financial and managerial accounting information to assist in effective management decision-making.
  • Formulate accurate and timely financial information using business applications software and information systems.

Marketing Management (Co-op)
Things you'll learn to do

Apply search engine marketing, social media promotion and marketing analytics principles to optimize your organization's marketing efforts.
Learn basic marketing graphics skills to create support materials such as brochures, newsletters and web page updates.
Write marketing and communications plans.

Co-op experience
Following eight months of classroom instruction, eligible students will have the opportunity to participate in a four-month cooperative education placement. Note that this is a competitive process and only qualified students are accepted. Working in the marketing field, you’ll apply your in-class learning and gain valuable work experience that may boost your career—and help you land a great job.

Scholarships

International Entrance Scholarship

All new international students beginning their full-time postsecondary studies at Sheridan in Winter 2026, or Spring 2026 semesters will receive an entrance scholarship ranging from $1,000 to $3,000.

You will be notified of your exact scholarship amount with your Letter of Acceptance. These funds will be automatically added to your account. You must remain full-time in the semester for the instalment to be issued for that semester.

The International Entrance Scholarship does not require a separate application.

International students who accept an offer and apply for a study permit to a full-time program at Sheridan College before November 15, 2025 may receive a $2,000 Sheridan Global Advantage Award!

This is in addition to any scholarship included in your Letter of Acceptance.

 
Terms and conditions

To receive and retain the award, you must:

  • Accept an offer to a full-time program at Sheridan College (not including the ESL program) before November 15, 2025. The offer must be for a program starting in Winter 2026, Spring/Summer 2026 and Fall 2026.
  • Pay the required fees as outlined in the Fee Estimate by the fee deadline indicated. Payment of full fees is required to access the course schedules.
  • Register and remain enrolled as a full-time international student paying international fees past the withdrawal deadline (the 10th day of classes) for the awarded start term.
  • Not receive a partial or full refund of the fees paid for the awarded start term.
  • The award is granted only once per student across the three eligible start terms (Winter 2026, Spring/Summer 2026 and Fall 2026).
  • The award is non-refundable. If the award results in an overpayment of fees, the excess funds will be automatically applied to the fees for the next semester.
