Program Overview

Not only will you graduate with two degrees in just six years, but you’ll also have the chance to take your education global while you learn, travel, explore, and live abroad.

If a career in law is what you want, this is the program for you. In this one-of-a-kind program, you will undertake either a Bachelor of Arts Honours or a Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Trent – Ontario’s #1 undergrad university, while also obtaining a law degree from Swansea University’s renowned Hillary Rodham Clinton School of Law in the UK – no need to write the LSATs.

How the Program Works:-
The first two years of your degree take place at Trent, where you’ll pursue your choice of 14 degree options. In third year, you’ll transfer to the coastal city of Swansea in Wales to complete three years of law studies, earning your Bachelor of Laws degree. Once your LL.B. is complete, you’ll return to Trent to complete your Honours degree credentials. By simultaneously taking several Canadian Law courses in your final year at Trent, you’ll be well-prepared for the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) exams, enabling you to take the required steps to practice law in Canada.

International Scholarships & Awards
For international undergraduate students starting in January (Winter) 2026, May (Summer) 2026 or September (Fall) 2026.

Trent's full and diverse scholarship program is designed to foster and reward academic excellence among our students. Scholarships are merit-based financial awards, typically awarded on the basis of academic excellence or a combination of academic achievement, leadership and community involvement.

Trent International Renewable Entrance Scholarships (Automatic/No Application Required)

All international undergraduate students applying to Trent are automatically considered for Trent University Entrance Scholarships that are awarded based on academic excellence. These range in value from $1,500 to $4,000 annually and are renewable over the course of your undergraduate degree provided you meet the eligibility criteria each year of your undergraduate program.

Entrance Scholarship Eligibility

You must be an international student paying international fees.?
You must be studying in Canada on a study permit.?
You must have applied to an undergraduate degree program at Trent University. Postgraduate certificates and graduate-level students are not eligible.?
You must meet Trent University’s Admission requirements, including general and degree-specific requirements and the English Language Proficiency Requirements.
You have a final high school average of 80% or more (Canadian Equivalent).?
You will need to fulfill the conditions of your conditional offer letter and register for courses to receive the scholarship amount.

Renewing your Entrance Scholarship

The Entrance Scholarship can be renewed at the beginning of each new academic year of your undergraduate program. The Entrance Scholarship changes to the In-course Scholarship after your first year at Trent University. The In-course Scholarship represents the renewable portion of the Entrance Scholarship and requires an application each year through your myTrent portal. Please review the additional eligibility criteria for renewal below.

Renewable Prestigious Scholarships and Awards (Application Required)

Trent International Prestigious Scholarships and Awards are awarded to entering international students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, community service, leadership potential, and some financial need. These awards fund tuition and mandatory ancillary fees at Trent in amounts up to $40,000 per academic year, and up to $160,000 over a 4-year degree.

Eligibility	You must be an international student paying international fees. You must be studying in Canada on a study permit. You must have applied to an undergraduate degree program at Trent University. Postgraduate certificates and graduate-level students are not eligible. How to Apply	Students must apply for Prestigious Scholarships. One application qualifies you for all prestigious scholarships. The application form can be found on your myTrent applicant portal located under the Finances tab > International > “International Undergraduate Scholarships & Awards Application (2026)” form.
