The Pearson Pearson BTEC Level 4 & 5 Higher National Diploma in IT is an internationally recognised higher education qualification that is equivalent to the 1st & 2nd year of a university degree. Pearson’s is an internationally recognised higher education pathway and is therefore perfect for those who wish to progress straight to the final year of an Undergraduate IT Degree or for anyone who wishes to develop a career in the public or private business sector.

The variety of specialised modules and hands-on learning opportunities offered in this degree familiarise students with workplace procedures and help them acquire the essential skills needed to succeed in a career in computing. Students will be equipped learners with the necessary knowledge and abilities to meet issues encountered in a professional IT setting and obtain the tools needed to keep up with the ever-changing IT industry.  With a focus on improving technical skills and instilling practical knowledge, this degree also provides a route to a lucrative career in a variety of IT sectors, including web development, cyber security, applications development and testing, software engineering, and much more.

Students will be supported through both group and individual tutorials, along with sessions that have been designed to assist students in developing knowledge based on their individual learning styles and goals. As this is a vocational programme, students on this course will also benefit from our Earn While You Learn scheme and have the opportunity to receive professional career training and placement opportunities so that they can work alongside their degree.

Please note that to progress onto Level 5, you must first have completed Level 4 or equivalent.
