International Foundation Year in Science, Engineering and Computing
The International Foundation Year in Science, Engineering and Computing at Leeds International Study Centre helps you to progress to your undergraduate degree at Leeds Beckett University. You will spend two semesters in the supportive environment of the International Study Centre, working with expert tutors in order to confidently enter the first year of your undergraduate degree at the University.

Once you complete the International Foundation Year in Science, Engineering and Computing, and achieve the required grades, you will be able to start your undergraduate degree at Leeds Beckett University.

Leading to: Childhood Studies BA (Hons)
This exciting course will prepare you for a range of diverse careers that benefit children and families. You’ll gain deep knowledge and understanding of the issues that affect them.

As part of this course, you’ll:

Gain a whole-child perspective, from pre-birth to adulthood
Prepare for a career that involves working with children and families, from teaching through to community work
Undertake innovative, child and family-focused professional placements, in settings such as schools, social care or early years
Develop a deep understanding of influences upon children and families
Consider childhood and children's lives from different perspectives
Examine the experiences of children in different national and global contexts
